In the 1987 movie “Project X,” Helen Hunt stars as Teri, a graduate student at a prestigious university. Her thesis project revolves around teaching sign language to a chimpanzee she affectionately names Virgil. Inspector Gadget (1999)

I grew up watching the cartoon, so when I saw that the adventures of the lovable cyber-sleuth had been made into a movie, I was excited to see it.
