Maybe your plans include putting in a romantic DVD. If that's the case, allow me to suggest some of my all-time favorite movies, destined to give you the warm fuzzies. Warning: these are chick flicks, but nothing says "I love you" to a girl like a guy who will sit and watch a chick flick with her. "Somewhere in Time." This movie stars Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour as a couple who must overcome huge challenges to be together, including the biggest obstacle of all - the fact that they live decades apart. (blog forthcoming) "The Lake House." Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are also separated by time, but only two years. They communicate by means of a magic mailbox, and through their letters fall in love. But he has a decision to make - should he put his life on hold and wait for her? (read blog here) "Return to Me." David Duchovny lost his wife in a car accident, and her heart was donated to the character played by Minnie Driver. A year later, David and Minnie meet up and fall in love, but when they realize that she has his dead wife's heart, it may prove too much for both of them. (read blog here) "Enchantment." This is an old black and white film stars David Niven and Teresa Wright. She grows up as a ward to his family and becomes like a pet to him. By the time he realizes he's in love with her, it may be too late to do anything about it. (blog forthcoming) "Two Weeks With Love." Jane Powell has a crush on older man Richardo Montalban, but she's sure he could never be interested in her - she's not allowed to wear a corset yet. She doesn't realize that he finds her quirky personality fascinating and is more interested than her parents want him to be. (read blog here) These are just a few of the best romantic movies ever made. Happy Valentine's Day, and don't forget the popcorn!
