There are a slew of upcoming movies that look promising for family viewing. Please bear in mind that these aren't reviews so not all movies mentioned may be appropriate for everyone, and some will be most suitable for young teens and up.

Perhaps you'll remember the scene in "Sleepless in Seattle" where Tom Hanks is having dinner with his friends and his real-life wife Rita Wilson talks about the movie "An Affair to Remember" (it is also prevalent throughout the movie as well).

And now for the top five movies ... Dancing in at the number five spot is Happy Feet (PG), a delightfully amusing cartoon with a great soundtrack. Mambo the Emperor Penguin can't sing, even though ALL penguins are supposed to sing. But he can tap dance.

It's award time! Between my immediate and extended family, we've seen more than three hundred movies and videos this year (thanks, Blockbuster, for keeping track!). We still have a few that we haven't seen, but we voted on the ones we did watch.
