After watching and mostly enjoying the recent rash of Barbie movies based on different legends and fairy tales, I was curious to see “The Barbie Diaries.” I’m sorry to say that I was disappointed. To begin with, the animation was odd. Barbie in The Magic of Pegasus (2005)

At last, we see Barbie show some temper! Starring as Princess Annika in “The Magic of Pegasus,” she chafes at her parents’ instruction that she is to stay inside the castle.
